The Two Witnesses Lesson #6:
What "Power" was given in Revelation 11:3
Should we expect
the Two Witnesses to have super natural
powers like spitting fire out of their
mouths? Did you know that the scriptures
were purposely mistranslated to cause you
not to be able to identify the Two
Witnesses? Prophecy tells us that this
understanding would be revealed in the last
days, but none of the wicked (law breakers)
will understand.
We are continuing on our lessons about the Two Witnesses. So far we have only
covered the first two verses in Revelation 11 regarding the instruction given to
one of the Two Witnesses to measure the Temple. Today we will go further, but
let us first review what we learned last week. Let’s read again from Revelation
11 verses 1 and 2.
Revelation 11:1
1 And there was given to me a reed like a measuring rod. And the malak stood,
saying: Rise, and measure the temple of Yahweh, and the alter, and its confines.
2 But the court which is outside the temple leave out, and measure it not; for
it is given to the Gentiles.
Last week we showed that the Witness Yisrayl Hawkins fulfilled this prophecy in
the early 1980s by commissioning the work of drawing the blue prints of this
temple in accordance with the measurements found in Ezekiel chapters 40 through
44 and he registered these drawings with the patent office in both the USA and
in Israel. The measurements of the temple given in Ezekiel 40 showed that there
was a city building on the temple mount which was never there at anytime that
the temple was ever built. This building is the Dome of the Rock building that
now sits on the temple mount that Revelation 11:1-2 is telling us have been
given to the nations. That’s not all, Ezekiel 40:4 also said
Ezekiel 40:4
Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind upon
everything that I show you; for the purpose that I show this to you, were you
brought here. Declare all that you see to the house of Israyl.
Yisrayl Hawkins is doing that 24/7 via satellite through two satellites which
covers almost every country on the face of the planet. This message is reaching
every inch of Israel today 24/7. Updated info: currently as of 1/16/2014
the satellite transmission over Europe and the middle east has been discontinued
due to the increasing price tag. You can assist in this message with your
financial support to the House of
Yahweh.
It is important that this message goes forth, because many so called rabbinical
temple experts have the view that the Dome of the Rock currently sits directly
on top of the foundation of the previous temple, and would have to be
demolished. Yahweh would not have allowed that building to be built on top of
the temple.
We can confidently say that based on the prophecies written in Revelation 11 and
Ezekiel 40 that both the Dome of the Rock and the Temple of Yahweh can co-exist
on the Temple Mount and that is coming from the inspired words of Yahweh for us
in these last days. Not just Yisrayl Hawkins. He got these scriptures that were
written hundreds of years before He was born. No matter what we feel about this
subject, shouldn’t we follow what Yahweh says? The only way we will have peace
is if everyone put away their feelings and do what Yahweh is clearly telling us
to do. That ought to be the basis of our unity: obedience to Yahweh.
Let’s move on to Revelation 11:3 Let’s first read from the KJV because I want
you to notice something
Revelation 11:3 KJV
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, this is the only part of verse 3 we
will be able to discuss today.
The first thing I want to point out is that the word power mentioned in verse 3
was added. It does not appear in the manuscript.
Lets read Revelation 11:3 from NIV Interlinear Greek-English New Testament.
It just says And I will give to the two witnesses of me, and they will prophesy
…..
This is why the Book of Yahweh does not have the word power in verse 3 of
Revelation 11.
It is important that we mention this because when you read Revelation 11 from
most bible translations you will get the impression that the Two Witnesses have
super natural powers such that they actually spew fire from their mouths and
barbeque anyone who oppose them.
If you follow the bible you have at home you will end up with a really
ridiculous understanding of the Two Witnesses and you will not be able to
identify them in these last days and that is exactly what Satan wanted to do;
because if we do not listen to the last Witnesses in these last days we will be
just like the people who lived at the time of Noah who were all deceived and as
a result were destroyed.
Now although the word power was not there, it is obvious that something was
given to the Two Witnesses. What was it? To find that answer we will must
examine the phrase I will give more closely to uncover what was really given to
the Two Witnesses. The phrase I will give was translated from the Greek word
didomi and is Strong’s word # 1325 and some of the meanings of this word are:
To give, bring forth, minister, have power, set, shew, smite and strike with the
palm of the hand, to utter, yield.
When you consider the meanings of this word didomi you can see that what Yahweh
gave to the Two Witnesses was to bring them forth in the office of a minister to
utter or speak with power using hand gestures of smiting with the hand and
striking with the palm of the hand as they cry aloud rebuking the evil in the
world.
So you see what they were given is not some Marvel comic super hero power of
blowing fire out of their mouths. They were given prophetic ministerial offices
to do a work.
That’s not all. If you look up this word didomi in the Analytical Greek Lexicon
of the New Testament, page 98 it gave us some of the same meanings given to us
in the Strong’s like to give, bestow, to grant, permit, allow, as well as these
meanings: to reveal, teach, to ascribe, to fix, inscribe,
Both the words ascribe and inscribe means to write. This is very important
because one of the witnesses was specifically given this commission to write for
Yahweh. We will see this when we go to the book of Isayah.
Now I just want to show you that the translators knew what this word didomi
meant, but they choose instead not to provide a more complete translation like
what the House of Yahweh has done. Notice what Revelation 11:3 reads like from
the Book of Yahweh
Revelation 11:3
3 And I will give to My Two Witnesses to perform their prophetic offices,
Now the reason these ministerial positions or offices are prophetic is because
they were spoken of by the prophets of old. But where in the prophecies were
these jobs mentioned?
Let’s go to Isayah 44:1-8 Here in these verses we are going to learn that Yahweh
not only announced the very names of the Two Witnesses thousands of years in
advance, He also stated how they would obtain their names and gave details of
their job description.
Isayah 44:1-8
1 Yet now hear, O Yaaqob My servant, and Yisrayl whom I have chosen, Let’s just
stop right here and jump ahead to verse 8 to see clearly who these two people
are. There is no need to speculate. Like they are Jacob whose name was changed
to Israyl or Mosheh and Elijah. Yahweh made it absolutely clear who these to men
are. Notice verse 8
8 Do not fear, nor be afraid. Have I not told you from that time, and have
declared: You are My witnesses!
That’s what it says in every bible. Now you know the names of the Two Witnesses.
They are Yaacob and Yisrayl. Yahweh gave their names thousands of years before
they were born. Isayah 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 are talking about the work of
the two witnesses. Let’s read Isayah 44:1 again
Isayah 44
1 Yet now hear, O Yaaqob My servant, and Yisrayl whom I have chosen,
2 This is what Yahweh says, Who made you and formed you from the womb,
Please notice here that Yahweh is speaking to two people but only of one womb;
which means that the Two Witnesses are brothers. The word womb was translated
from the Hebrew word beten and is word # 990 in Strong’s Concordance and it
means:
to be hollow; the belly, especially the womb.
Some have made the mistake in saying that the womb mentioned here is symbolic
and not an actual womb, but that is false. In fact mark your place in Isayah 44
and quickly turn to Isayah 49:1 and we will see this same word womb and notice
that it is associated with the bowels of the mother of the witnesses
Isayah 49:1
Listen, O isles; countries to me! Listen, you peoples, from afar! Yahweh has
called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother He has made mention of my
name.
So you see here that this womb is the actual physical womb of a woman, the
mother of the Witness Yisrayl.
Now I want to quickly go back to verse 1. I want you to notice something else.
Notice whose name is mentioned first.
Isayah 44:1
1 Yet now hear, O Yaaqob My servant, and Yisrayl whom I have chosen
As it turned out Yaaqob is the older brother and Yahweh named him first. This
was written thousands of years before they were born in these last days.
2 This is what Yahweh says, Who made you and formed you from the womb, Who will
help you: Do not be afraid, Yaaqob My servant (Why was Yaaqob encouraged not to
be afraid? This is because his life was threatened when he went to Israel to do
a work there. As you might expect, He used the name Yahweh when he went to do
the work in Israel, but he was warned that he would be placed in a body bag if
he taught in the name of Yahweh in Israyl). If you read Yeremyah 11:21 you will
see that the prophet Yeremyah was also given this same threat. Notice the last
part of
Yeremyah 11:21 ….
Do not prophesy in the Name of Yahweh or you will die by our hand.
My friends, the thugs who issued this threat are the so called priests or rabbis
that removed the name Yahweh from your bible. They still teach this same
blasphemy in Israel and they threatened the witness Yaaqob when he went there to
live for seven years. This threat shock up the witness Yaaqob, and later we will
talk about how this situation lead to the separation of the Two Witnesses which
was all prophesied to occur.
Now let’s see if we can finish reading Isayah 44:2
2 This is what Yahweh says, Who made you and formed you from the womb, Who will
help you: Do not be afraid, Yaaqob My servant and Yeshurun; Beloved Yisrayl,
whom I have appointed.
The word Yeshurun mentioned in verse 2 here is not a third individual. Yeshurun
is simply a word which means Beloved Ysirayl. The International Standard Bible
Encyclopedia, Volume Two, page 1033, tells us that the Septuagint Version
renders Yisrayl’s name in Isayah 44:2 as beloved Yisrayl. The Sepuagint is the
first Greek translation of the Hebrew bible.
Verse 3 and 4 talks about the seed and offspring of the witnesses so let’s go to
verse 5. Now, verse 5 in most bibles have been mistranslated so we are going to
read it from the KJV first so you can see it for yourself: Now please remember
that Isayah 44 is talking about two individuals, Yaaqob and Israyl, but when you
read verse 5 in the KJV it makes it seem like its talking about three people.
Notice
Isayah 44:5 KJV
One shall say, I am the Lord’s; and another shall call himself by the name of
Jacob; (two persons) and another (a third person) shall subscribe with his hand
unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of ISRAEL.
But as we have seen Isayah 44:1 is only talking about two individuals, so what’s
the problem with this verse. The problem lies with the word another mentioned
twice in this verse. The word another was translated from the Hebrew word zeh
and is Strong’s word #2088. It is a demonstrative pronoun which means
This or that, or on this side … on that side. It’s like a toggle one or the
other. In fact The Lexicon In Veteris Testamenti Libros, by Koehler and
Baumgartner, page 251 shows that when this masculine demonstrative pronoun zeh
is repeated in a Hebrew sentence, like it was in Isayah 44:5, the first word
translated zeh properly refers to this, the one, and the second zeh properly
refers to that, the other.
So when you follow this rule and apply it to the KJV you would get
Isayah 44:5
One shall say, I am Yahweh’s; and THIS-THE ONE (or this same one) shall call
himself by the name of Jacob; and THAT-THE OTHER shall subscribe with his hand
unto Yahweh, and surname himself by the name of Israyl.
So let’s read this verse now from the Book of Yahweh for correct translation
5 One will say: I belong to Yahweh, and the same will call himself with the name
Yaaqob. The other will subscribe with his hand, and write I belong to Yahweh,
and surname himself with the name Yisrayl.
Now let’s examine this verse. This verse is telling us how the two witnesses
will obtain their names and it is simply mind blowing how incredible Yahweh was
when He made this prediction. First let’s notice that the witness Jacob did not
legally change his name, he just called himself Jacob. It is like an alias or
what some people call a nick name. But there is more to this word call used in
verse 5 than meets the eye. The word call was translated from the Hebrew word
qara and is word # 7121 in the Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary. Notice these
meanings:
Pronounce, to encounter, in a hostile manner, through the idea of accosting a
person.
It is simply amazing how accurate the prophecies are my friends. Here is how
this prophecy was fulfilled. The witness Yaaqob was not given the name Yaaqob at
birth. Like many southern names the witness Jacob’s birth J.G. Hawkins were just
initials. When he went to Israyl, he and his wife decided to take the scenic
route, so the went by train from Europe. Before the train entered Israyl the
conductor asked him for a name; they did not accept initials for names, but he
insisted that is my name. The conductor would not accept it and threatened to
through him off the train at the next stop, then he said call me Jacob. That’s
how the witness got the name Jacob under a hostile encounter with the train
conductor.
I don’t have enough time to finish explaining all of verse 5, so lets just focus
on the part of verse 5 where it says
The other will subscribe with his hand,
Do you remember earlier when we analyzed the phrase I will give mentioned in
Revelation 11:3 and we showed that it was translated from the Greek word didomi
which included the meanings of inscribe and ascribe which means to write
The word subscribe mentioned in Isayah 44:5 tells us one of the main jobs of the
witness Yisrayl will be to write for Yahweh.
The word subscribe was translated from the Hebrew word kathab, and is word #3789
in Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary and means:
To write, describe, inscribe, prescribe, and to record.
The witness Yaaqob would also be a writer for Yahweh, but it would be the
witness Yisrayl who Yahweh gave the job to on behalf of both witnesses for
Yahweh. Next week we will continue discussing this point because it speaks to
the heart of what it means to be a witness. A witness presents truthful evidence
of incidents of law breaking, and this my friends is exactly what Yisrayl
Hawkins does. Do you remember when two visitors came to Abraham before they went
to the city of Sodom to destroy it? They went to see if the things that were
reported were true. They went to collect evidence. Yahweh has done the same
thing in these last days. The witness Yisrayl is recording all the sins of man
and pointing out that the curses we are suffering are the result of breaking
Yahweh’s Laws. He is bearing witness to this. Next week you will know what it
means to be a witness. Don’t miss it. Until then, may Yahweh bless your
understanding.
